 John's Notes:  The Jananese traditionally drink this tea with meals, and it is considered a classic :everyday" tea. The lower leaves from which this tea is made contain a high percentage of beneficial minerals, and have 70% less caffeine that most Gyokuro green teas.

Japan Bancha Organic Description: A large-leaf tea, picked from the lower shoots of the tea plant. The taste is soft, subtle and slightly "grassy". ORGANICGrowing Region/Country: Japan Brewing: 3g tea leaves (1 heaping teaspoon) per 8oz cup of filtered 180 degree(F) water. Cover leaves with cool water for 3-5 seconds, then add hot water and brew 1 min. Do not over-brew. [197]
